(CNS): An 84-year-old tenant of a house in Monument Road, Bodden Town, escaped without injury from a fire at the home Saturday night. The Cayman Islands Fire Service was called out to the blaze at around 10:20pm on 7 July and crews brought the fire under control. The elderly man, who was at home at the time the fire started, safely exited the building without injury and was found to be in good health by paramedics, police said. Although no one was hurt, the home was badly damaged and an investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
