Mr. Grindle was a frequent diver on Little Cayman. He appeared to be fit when I saw him in early January.
Sorry to hear this news. Our condolences to the Grindle family and friends
There has been a few of these incidences particularly in Grand Cayman. In my opinion the issue is older individual who do not regularly exercise go out snorkeling or diving and physically cannot handle what seems to be an easy and safe adventure. My recommendation would be to do a quick physical check before renting equipment for their safety.
Thanks Doctor Anonymous, we should update the diving board’s advice based on this pearl of wisdom.
RIP Mr Grindle
