Police find drugs in GT man’s car
(CNS) Updated: Police have now charged a 27-year-old man arrested last week with dealing drugs. The man is due in court today (Monday 23 May) facing charges of consumption and possession of cocaine with intent to supply as well as possession and consumption of ganja. Police have not revealed the quantity of drugs seized. The man was arrested Thursday after police stopped him for driving suspiciously on the West Bay Road. It is not clear what the man did to alert the officers on patrol but police said they saw a vehicle leave a parking lot near Lawrence Blvd and “proceed along the road in a suspicious manner”.
Officers stopped the vehicle, spoke with the driver, and subsequently searched him and his car. According to the RCIPS, an undisclosed quantity of white powder resembling cocaine and vegetable matter resembling ganja were found and the driver was arrested on suspicion of several drug charges, including possession of ganja and possession of cocaine with intent to supply.
