Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) officer

(CNS): A police operation in Newlands yesterday remains a mystery, as RCIPS officials have given away very little about the incident. Witnesses watched a group of armed officers from George Town’s Uniform Support Group besiege a house on Milton Drive on Wednesday afternoon, but police said no arrests were made. According to reports from residents, police surrounded the house and called for an unidentified individual to come out of the property before the officers stormed inside.

I’m a law abiding working local.
    Never been to prison.
Yet years back I’ve Twice had cops call me to say they have a stakeout/warrant on me…neither time was I at fault, I was not home (they called me to turn myself in fter being on the stakeout all day – lol ), and they still havent found me yet!
I would state my name but cant for obvious reasons..

Police don’t call and tell you that they are coming for you. Put the pipe down – you’re paranoid.

  2. This happened right in front of my elderly and frail mother of 86 years old home on Milton Drive.
    Utterly scared her to death!
Bull horns and fully armed for total war but “attacked” without a cohersive plan…whats new?..the criminal knew the area “like the palm of his hands” and was long gone by the time they brought in the troops.
In the end….they found nothing….saw nothing and scared residents and prevented me from getting to my mum’s home for hours.
    Shambles!…

This highlights the concern of citizens about widening the scope of armed RCIPS operations. This concern was rightly stated in a print media editorial recently. At present there is an ongoing trial relating to RCIPS use of taser. Good training is not enough for some of these cops. What are the rules of engagement for RCIPS firearm or taser use?

I think that this is the kind of police officers that Cayman needed from a long time ago . They are acting very smart by not letting out any information on the operation , because news spread very fast today.

And no one was shot! Let the Police do their job. We would all bitch and complain if a crime was in progress and they did not show up!

Perhaps they were looking for Jaesha Hendrix ,who went missing 3 months ago.

Probably they were at the wrong house? Or on daylight savings time?
