Anti-bullying legislation gathers dust

Cayman News Service(CNS Local Life): More than half of young people in the Cayman Islands have been bullied, often causing severe mental health problems, and yet there has been little effort by parliament to act on the draft legislation to counter it, which has been around for years. At a recent presentation on bullying, for which only about 20 people showed up, MLA Alva Suckoo said he plans to file a private member’s motion next month to get anti-bullying legislation finally passed.
