Tropical Storm Grace rolls across Atlantic
(CNS): The latest storm to form this hurricane season is currently heading west across the Atlantic, the National Hurricane Center reported Monday. Tropical Storm Grace was about 685 miles west-southwest of the Cape Verde Islands, according to the early morning advisory, and was travelling towards the region at around 16mph, with winds of 50mph. Little change is expected over the next day or so and forecasters expect Grace to gradually weaken later in the week before arriving in the Caribbean.
With tropical storm force winds extending outward up to 60 miles from the centre, the storm poses no threats to land. Forecasters expect Grace to become a tropical wave before it reaches the Lesser Antilles.

hopefully soon to be smited by the high pressure ridge meandering across the Caribbean. Steering currents are in line to bring whatever here from Cape Verde. Fair amount of windshear in front of Grace also. I predict it goes poof before arriving in our waters.
The Hazard Management Unit and in particular their public relations guy have on a day to day basis throughout the 365 day year basically NOTHING to do. So much money could be saved but then what would we do with the staff?
Amazing…
