Cops catch fleeing booze burglar
(CNS): The police have rounded up another burglary suspect after the man tried to flee from officers on patrol in downtown George Town early Friday morning. The alleged booze burglar was apprehended when police spotted him at the intersection of Mary Street and North Church Street with what appeared to be bottles in both hands at around 4:50 this morning. When officers attempted to speak to him, the man ran off but as he did more bottles fell out from under his clothes.
The police went after him and eventually apprehended him on Eastern Avenue, where he was arrested on suspicion of burglary. The police then discovered that the liquor store close to where the man was first seen by the officers had been broken into and the store carried similar types of bottles to the ones the man was carrying.
After his arrest police also determined that the man is on court bail for several matters, including alleged criminal and traffic offences.
I think that it’s also funny that the police took so long and chased him so far running with bottles of liquor in his pants. I thought that it was the criteria to be fit and can run to be a policeman, sounds like this one didn’t meet the criteria, or is it possible that I am missing something here.
Doesn’t driving behind the fleeing suspect yelling “Stop Thief!” count?
Damn,we have to pay for booze on Fridays? When did that law come in?
What seems funny to me is it took chased him all the way to eastern ave until they caught him and he was running with booze in this pants LOL
Awesome…now if they could only catch at least just 1 of the burglars that make off with tens of thousands of dollars of belongings from home burglaries. My guess is that they will never do so, because the jamaican gardeners that scope out and burgle homes and make away with valuables are all covered by their jamaican pals in the RCIPS.
They sometimes do. If you want to get you goods back you have to go to the next police auction. Prices are reasonable.
Sounds just about right, however you will only find the shitty or bulky belongings that did not make it on the jamaican canoes….Cayman is being fleeced by thieves, that are protected by the law which is enforced accordingly by thieves. Ever wonder why they always catch camanian law breakers, but never catch jamaican law breakers, and the 1 or 2 that have been caught within the last 5 years are never effectively prosecuted?
Lack hov hevidence bredren.
