CI to NY JetBlue flight makes emergency landing

(CNS): A plane travelling from Owen Roberts International Airport on Grand Cayman to New York had made an emergency landing in Charleston, the airline has confirmed. The pilot of the JetBlue flight 766 requested to land at the airport in South Carolina after crew reporting a smell in the cockpit. 

The Airbus A320 landed safely at around 5pm local time and a spokesperson for JetBlue said it had proceeded to the gate. Customers were being processed through US customs in Charleston and were expected to continue on to New York later tonight, the spokesperson said.
