(CNS): A 69-year-old man was rescued from the North Sound on Saturday evening by the Joint Marine Unit after the boat he was in capsized, the RCIPS confirmed Monday. The man had been in a small pontoon boat with another man, who had swum to the shore to raise the alarm. At around 7pm when the JMU reached the man who was still in the water, he was unconscious. The man, who lives in Kaibo, North Side, had a lucky escape as neither he nor his boating companion were wearing life vests when their vessel capsized, police stated.
