(CNS): Another group of Cuban migrants haves been detained by the immigration department after their wooden boat landed at Rum Point on Grand Cayman late Wednesday evening, 20 July, government officials have said. The group of fifteen people were taken into custody after their boat engine failed and they could not continue their journey. The nine men and six women had first entered Cayman waters on Tuesday off Cayman Brac, when there were sixteen people aboard, but after one of the men disembarked the rest of the group pressed on.

With the entire group now in detention, the total number of migrants at the Immigration Detention Centre in Fairbanks is 84, as the authorities continue to deal with a constant stream of Cuban nationals attempting the perilous journey to the United States.

I can only compare the behavior of Cayman with that of the allies of Nazi Germany
The Govt and the citizens of Cayman that support sending the Cubans back to Cuba are no better than the supporters of Hitler

Can someone please tell the Cuban refugees, if they want to get to US they must go north of Cuba the trip would be shorter with less problems , not south .

The open door is in Mexico not Miami. They go south to get to the final destination free and clear.

Well, they need to continue their journey, and allowed to reach their destination. Our goodness is always our downfall, everyone take it for weakness. Give them whatever they need to continue their journey.

      • Sharkey says:

Well then if Mexico is the open door , then they should go toward the west , not south .
