South Sound Road after Hurricane Beryl (from social media)

(CNS): As the police began their post-hurricane patrols Thursday afternoon, officers reported that a stretch of South Sound Road, from the intersection at Old Crewe Road, is currently unsafe and impassable by motorists. That section of the roadway will be blocked until further notice due to the significant damage and excessive debris, the RCIPS has reported. While other roads have been blocked with fallen trees and utility lines, many have now been cleared by other emergency services and most of the roads are now safe for motorists.

The RCIPS thanked the public for their cooperation throughout the hurricane and encouraged everyone to continue to be safe and to exercise caution while using the roads during the continued inclement weather.

And NOBODY was investigated or fired for the multi Million$$ Boardwalk, that vehicles and nature take for a joke.
    Services traded.. thats that!
Even big head SpongeBob, Shellby or Squidward can see that.

Roads are unsafe for cyclists all the time. Don’t see the police doing anything about that.

I’m devastated for the Jeep345 people. One of their reasons for being is to not only have red lights at the front of their vehicles, but to also be able to use their Mad Max looking vehicles to traverse over tufts of sand and twigs, and the occasional 6 inches of water.

Zero damage to the road. 15 slats on the boardwalk to be put back. Hardly the unmitigated disaster it’s attempting to be portrayed as.

I think this road would be a great place to install a multi-million dollar board walk.

Nah, the developers and owners can’t sell or rent the bougie condos with mangroves blocking the view.

The mangroves removal will continue until morale improves.

A north-American property owner at Cayman Crossing who pulled out several hundred seedlings I had planted along the whole stretch. In their fervour they even yanked out some that nature had placed there, and that had somehow survived jet skis running them over repeatedly.

That, teamed up with an inept and possibly complicit law enforcement mechanism, is who is stopping me.
