(CNS): Ten packages of compressed and wrapped ganja washed up on a Bodden Town beach this week, police have confirmed. On Monday, 29 August, at around 1pm police received information about a suspicious package on the beach in the Beach Bay area of the district, the RCIPS said. They sent officers to the scene, who recovered the packages, which were wrapped in some kind of sacking. Police have not disclosed the exact quantity or street value of what appears to be a significant amount of drugs.

Following the discovery, the Joint Marine Unit carried out further searches along the Spotts and South Sound coastline, but no further packages were located.

No arrests have been made in relation to the drug haul.

Strange that none ever washes up on the beach in West Bay. Could it be that the locals there firmly believe in the adage “finders keepers”?.
