Five bailed in connection with two drug operations

Cayman News Service(CNS): Police arrested three people early Saturday morning in connection with the discovery of a suspect drug canoe that came ashore in Prospect. In a separate incident, officers who conducted a drugs raid on Friday evening arrested two people in connection with an undisclosed ganja haul at a house in Savannah. The operation was carried out by Bodden Town officers, the K-9 and Uniform Support Group. They arrested a 22-year-old woman from George Town and a 25-year-old Bodden Town man on suspicion of possession and consumption of ganja, as well as other drug-related offences.

Then, at about 2am on Saturday, police recovered a quantity of ganja when a canoe came ashore in Prospect. A 33-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man from West Bay and a 22-year-old man from Bodden Town woman were all arrested on suspicion of importation of ganja.
