WB mini-mart robbed twice in one month
Mini-mart in West Bay, robbed on 19 March and 21 April 2016
(CNS): Eddie’s Mini Mart, which is also known as Malcolm’s, on Birch Tree Hill Road in West Bay has been robbed for the second time in a month. Police said that a stocky man brandishing a gun entered the store around 8:30pm on Thursday, 21 April, and demanded cash and cigarettes before he left on foot along Bramble Close across the street from the store. The store’s employee told the police that the robber was about 5’4”, stocky with a dark complexion, wearing a red shirt and carrying a backpack.
No one was injured during the incident and West Bay CID is looking for information as it begins its enquiry.
However, the police already have an open case for the same shop, which was held up on 21 March by a lone, masked gunman, who was described in a similar way to the latest suspect. That robber was said to be the same height with a medium build and a dark brown complexion. He was wearing a long-sleeved shirt or sweater and carrying a black or purple string bag with a dirty t-shirt over his face.
CNS understand that the store is equipped with CCTV but it is not clear if police have been able to obtain footage from either robbery.

This the same shop 50yds from the West Bay Police Station correct? I wonder if this guy is sitting outside the shop looking at the station and when he sees the front desk clerk go for a bathroom break, he pounces?
That would be a possible plan, but it’s not that store. The crook may be monitoring the upholstery shop though….

I’m never one to support crime in any manner so I do not condone robberies. However, some of these small stores are simply fronts for selling numbers and the criminals know that too! In the minds of the robbers “Easy come, easy go”.
That store is what’s called a West Bay ATM.
This guy needs to stop robbing stores…its affecting his health. Started with an average build and is already now stocky. Stop before you get obese or at least get into a police chase to run those calories off.
Eddie’s needs to put some tranquilizers (or laxatives) in a special carton of this robbers favorite tobacco brand.
