Burglars target St Ignatius
(CNS): Some time since the beginning of the Easter break, burglars entered the St Ignatius High School on Walkers Road, ransacked an office and stole electronics and other items. The police were called around 11:30am Wednesday when the burglary was discovered but the RCIPS could not say when the crime was committed or give an idea of the earliest date and time it could have happened. Police say the culprits appear to have entered through a side door but could not say if it was a forced entry or not.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call George Town CID at 949-4222 or the Miami-based call centre of Crime Stoppers at 800-8477(TIPS).
In other news an arsonist set fire to a home in east end over the holidays luckily nothing was stolen
A slab of the 10 Commandments at the entrance might deter any further break-ins, they might want to bump “Thou shall not steal” up to the top though for this purpose.
I really don’t think these are people who read much. The Ten Commandments might be a bit too complex for this lot of scumbags.
What is the appropriate punishment for this. Crucifixion or 3 hail Mary’s?
I wonder if Madam Governor Helen Kilpatrick realizes this actually happened in the Cayman Islands where in her opinion everything is under control?
Sickening to hear about crimes and vandalism in Cayman. No matter what the RCIPS statistics say things are getting worse and the Governor and Premier are in denial.
Foolish politicians. Crime is down or up after the Easter Weekend?
Alden, not even the schools safe, Alden. Just like the Police Commissioner retired, you need to go too.
Don’t forget about the Lady Gov’na too!
She is such a disappointment. Her constant assertions that we have the lowest crime rate in the region are spawned of such ignorance. The last 20 years have watched us decline from having amongst the lowest crime rates on earth. She and her predecessors have presided over the collapse of law and order here greatly assisted by self serving politicians who have destroyed our education system and imported thousands of impoverished persons from around the region who cannot be sustained in our economy. She needs to get with the program and lead, or get on the plane and leave.
