Daylight armed robbery at 7MB jewellery shop
(CNS): Police have arrested one man and seized a vehicle following a daylight lunchtime heist at Mitzi’s Fine Jewelry on the West Bay Road in the heart of the Seven Mile Beach tourist area. Police are investigating the armed robbery, which happened just before 1pm Wednesday (18 November) and say they are pursuing several lines of enquiry. One man, armed with a handgun, is reported to have been involved but no injuries were reported.
Soon after officers responded to the scene, a vehicle was seized and the man was arrested, and he remains in custody, police said Thursday. They have not said what, if anything, was taken or whether any loot has been recovered.
