More cocaine washes up on local shores
(CNS): Another 25 packages of cocaine, weighing a total of 25 kilos, has washed up on to the shoreline of Grand Cayman, which has seen a significant number of drug smuggling attempts in recent months. Police have confirmed that a member of the public spotted this latest drug haul on the shore at Prospect Point Wednesday. At around 10:20am the man came across the packets near the Prospect Cemetery.
The officers who responded to the call, the Joint Marine Unit and the helicopter crew all conducted an extensive search of the area but no more drugs were found. The recovered packages contained twenty-five kilograms of what police described as a “white powdery substance”, which is in all likelihood cocaine.
The police thanked the member of the public who alerted them to the find and said that all of the packages of drugs were destroyed Thursday morning.
Over the last few months millions of dollars worth of drugs, including ganja and cocaine, have been recovered along the coast of Cayman and in local waters.
You walk your dog along the beach every morning for years and still never get lucky with one of these finds. I even bought a retired sniffer dog to up my chances.
The Miracle Islands!! Its gonna start raining drugs soon!! Damn they found so much recently we could build a new dock out of the stuff….oh…maybe that’s how we should finance it??
Remember in primary school…
“One for you and one for me…one for you and one for me…”
In our school it was one for you, two for me, etc.
Wonder why they burn it straight away? Is there not somewhere it can be safely locked awa…aaaah, yes, burn it!!!
How are the Drugs which are found in Cayman distroyed. Is there a groupe of Ministers, JP or other repuatable citizens to witness these drugs being distroyed or are the drugs just given to a member of the police force to take to the Dump and give to a member of staff at the dump to distroy. Who witnesses the distruction of these drugs. Can the Police or members of the Drugs Distruction Party conform that these drugs are distroyed. Do we have a signed statement from these witnesses stating that x amount of Drugs were taken from the police station and carried to the dump and distroyed.
I gotta see it to believe it!
Ministers and JP’s? They the most crooked ones. And where pray tell are you going to find reputable citizens? Anarchy for the CI!
invest in border patrol get some of good Caymanian young men trained in the RCIPS Marine Unit. There should be Police Marine boats out on the sea almost every night it is so worth it!
