New boss takes over policing on Sister Islands
(CNS): One of the RCIPS’ most senior female officers has taken over the area command on Cayman Brac and Little Cayman and is set to meet the community at a public meeting later this month. Inspector Wendy Parchment has 28 years of experience in operational policing and has worked at all of the district police stations on Grand Cayman. She is the second woman in 17 years to hold the position of Area Commander of the Sister Islands and is one of the first female commanders in the RCIPS to be qualified as a Critical Incident Management and Firearm Incident Commander, officials said.
“I am excited to be working on the Sister Islands and am looking forward to working with community leaders to solve problems,” she said.
Parchment will hold an introductory meeting with the public on Monday 17 August at the Aston Rutty Civic Centre on Cayman Brac between 6:30pm and 8:00pm.
Welcome, Inspector Parchment. You bring many years of experience to the Brac and we thank you. I’ve already noticed some changes; much respect.
Congratulations, Wendy! I know that you can do it, and remember that you are the commander, don’t let anyone step on your toes. Job well done and keep up the good work and be a shining example.
Congrats Wendy, wishing you all the best in your new endeavors.
