GT bar robbed by masked men
(CNS): Two masked men dressed in dark clothing held up a bar in George Town Wednesday evening and police say they have recovered a vehicle they believe was used during the robbery. The police were called to the premises of the Ultra Lounge on Smith Road at around 11:05pm after the men made off with an undetermined amount of cash. An RCIPS spokesperson said more details would follow but have not yet said if a gun or another type of weapon was used.
Check back to CNS later for more details.
Where is your precious Mr. Dart now.
Dart? He up to windward and safe Bobo. Reading Ayn Rand and watching unna with detached amusement……
Welcome to CayRock.
Which bar?
How many bars are there on Smith Road?
The new Cayman. We didn’t have enough poverty and ignorance, so we keep importing more. And we wonder why we are quickly becoming another Caribbean disaster.
From all accounts, it’s us Caymanians that are without jobs! All the work permit holders have jobs and even though some of them are paid very low wages, they are making it work, albeit in an impoverished state for many. It’s our fellow Caymanians that are losing their homes to the Banks and its our youth that are being arrested for most of the violent and non-violent crime.
It seems that we are creating more poverty than we are importing! Time to fix OUR problems and stop blaming others who were “invited” here. Part of the fix may include training and convincing our people that doing some of the jobs the lower paid imported labour does is more respectable than crime or relying on Social Services for a hand-out.
My two cents.
So you forgotten about the two from DR that were on “work permits”, and was caught stealing???? Or you going claim they were an isolated incident?
Facts are facts.
Wowzers, 1 incident involving foreign nationals compared to the those committed multiple times per day by our very own. Pull your head out the sand. First step to fixing our problems is to admit them, and stop denying the fact that it is our own people.
