Cops arrest attempted murder suspect

(CNS): A 22-year-old man from East End has been arrested by police on suspicion of attempted murder following a fight on the beach in the early hours of Friday morning. Police were called to a disturbance on the beach in front of Snooze Lane, George Town, at about 2:25am in which a 25-year-old man received a wound to his face. Police later recovered a machete. The injured man, also from East End, was taken to the George Town hospital, where he was treated and subsequently released. An RCIPS spokesperson said the incident was believed to be related to a domestic dispute.
