One teen found, second still missing

(CNS): One of two girls reported missing from different parts of Grand Cayman Monday has turned up safe and well. Fifteen year-old Jadee Eccleston from the Esterly Tibbetts Highway area of George Town was with another family member, police said. But 16-year-old Meggan Rankine (left) from the Francis Bodden Girls’ Home who went missing in Savanna has not yet turned up and police are continuing to seek the public’s help locating her.

An RCIPS spokesperson said Eccleston who was reported missing 3:10pm on Monday was found at around 11:35 Wednesday in good health. “The teenager reportedly spent time with a family member, unknown to the complainant,” the officer stated. “The RCIPS wish to thank the public for their assistance.”

However Rankine who was reported missing at 5:50pm Monday to officers from the Bodden Town Police Station has not been found She was last seen around 10:00am when she left home for work at a Savannah restaurant. Police said she was not present at pick-up time around 4:00pm. Rankine is described as being around 5’ 4”, with a brown complexion and also about 140 pounds. She was last seen wearing a red polo shirt, black pants, and black shoes.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Rankine or who can supply information about her movements is asked to call the Bodden Town Police Station on 649-2220 or 947-224.
