Construction spill blocks Red Bay roundabout

(CNS): The police have closed the feeder road at the Red Bay roundabout, near Auto Spa Car wash, as a result of a heavy trailer losing its load. An RCIPS spokesperson said the westbound access is blocked due to the spillage of lumber on the road. Heavy equipment is on scene clearing the obstruction but traffic heading west into George Town is being delayed as a result of the incident and police are advising drivers to avoid the Prospect area if at all possible. Although officers have not yet stated what was the cause of the load spill, they had said no injuries were reported.

And will anyone be orosecuted for carrying an unsafe load thereby putting other motorists in danger? I saw this happen at the smith road cross roads several months ago, though on a smaller scale, and in split second timing i avoided the load emptying onto my car. Of course the issue is what is the law, and would the police know the law and be capable of enforcing it. Time and again I see police cars themselves breaking the law.
