West Bay men and dog turn violent during row

Cayman News Service(CNS): A row between two men living at the same address in the Boatswain Bay area of West Bay turned violent last night and landed one man in hospital and a second in jail. Police said the fight happened at around 10:30pm Tuesday 21 September in Duxie’s Lane, when a verbal altercation escalated to physical violence, with one man being stabbed and a second bitten by a dog.

While the police did not say if the two men were related, they said a 32-year-old man was stabbed in his torso and neck and is now in hospital but that his injuries were non-life threatening. Meanwhile, the 47-year-old man accused of stabbing the younger man was bitten by a dog on his lower leg during the fight.

He was treated at the hospital before being arrested on suspicion of wounding and taken into custody by police. The matter is now under investigation by West Bay CID.
