Over 200 postal votes issued as deadline approaches

| 26/04/2017

(CNS Elections): With the deadline for postal and mobile voting applications just over two weeks away, the Elections Office is urging voters who will be overseas on polling day or unable to get to the polls to get their relevant forms in as quickly as possible. So far, 214 postal ballots have been issued to voters who will not be in the Cayman Islands on Election Day, 24 May. Mobile voting is available to voters who will be in Cayman but are physically unable to attend on polling day due to disability or ill-health; the Elections Office mobile voting team will visit these voters’ homes. People working on Election Day or not able to go to the polls for other prescribed reasons can use early voting.

Postal vote applicants will need to download and complete Form B  while people wanting to take advantage of mobile and early voting need to fill in Form C. Both are also available on the Elections Office website or voters can collect them from the Elections Office at 150, Smith Road Centre, 2nd Floor, George Town.

Completed forms along with proof for travel can be submitted via email, or hand delivered to the Elections Office.

The Mobile Voting Stations and the dates they will be open in the different Single Member Electoral Districts are as follows:
