Mobile voting to take place week before election
(CNS Elections): Mobile voting will take place over a four-day period the week before Election Day in all 19 single-member constituencies, election officials announced Monday. Each district has been assigned one mobile voting station and a mobile polling day between 16-19 May. The mobile voting application, FORM C, is available on the Elections Office website and must be returned to the Elections Office by 12 May 2017.
Mobile voting aims to assist two particular groups of people with the voting process:
1) Electors who are unable, or likely to be unable, to go in person to a polling station. These include people in hospital, rest homes, the elderly, the visually-impaired or other people with a physical disability. In these cases, a mobile team will visit the voter’s home or residence.
2) Electors who are unable to go in person to the polling station because of the general nature of their occupation, service or employment. This includes all volunteers working on Election Day. In these cases, the voter should go to the fixed mobile voting location listed below.
Mobile voting is an important part of the democratic process because not everyone is able to get to the polls on Election Day. During the 2013 elections, 655 votes from the more than 14,000 votes cast were mobile votes.
The mobile stations will be open for voting from 7.00am-6.00pm and voters are reminded that cell phones, cameras, iPads, or any other equipment that can digitally capture images or make audio recordings will not be allowed inside the polling stations.

This doesn’t make sense. If an infirm person cannot go to a polling station, how can he or she go to a ‘mobile polling station’?
Mobile means moving around, not in one fixed location.
