(CNS Election): Independent candidates Dwayne ‘John-John’ Seymour and Chris Saunders have both secured seats in Bodden Town East and West. Osbourne Bodden was beaten into third place with just 25% of the vote after Seymour secured almost 38% of the vote in a tight race in Bodden Town East, with Robert Bodden (CDP) taking nearly 33%.e Arnold Berry (IND) came last in that race with just over 3% of the vote.

The first blow of the evening for the PPM, Bodden’s emphatic defeat means the PPM is unlikely to secure the ten seats needed, given that Maxine Bodden was also beaten in the neighbouring constituency of BTW.

Saunders took that seat with 35% of the vote, with Bodden coming in second with 28%. Stafford Berry (CDP) took just under 20% of the vote and Gilbert McLean was fourth with just over 17% of the vote.

Both men were formerly members of the UDP. Seymour served in the 2009-2013 UDP administration while Saunders ran on the UDP ticket but lost in 2013.

Seriously John-John was your choice???? Again, when will voters vote will common sense and not for popularity for friends or empty promises. He did absolutely nothing the last time he managed to get in. Oh forgot he was able to get his wife’s lover kicked off the island that must count for something.
