Coalition sets out details of portfolio responsibilities
(CNS): Premier André Ebanks said the changes the National Coalition for Caymanians has made to the ministerial areas of responsibility for Cabinet members will help it deliver “meaningful and measurable outcomes”. The Cayman Islands Government published its final organisational chart on Wednesday, showing all the portfolios each minister will manage, as well as the boards, authorities, and other entities they are responsible for.
With only eight ministers but numerous authorities, boards, councils, commissions, companies, departments, ministries, and portfolios, all Cabinet members oversee a diverse range of subjects. The new government structure formally took effect on 1 July, and residents can now go online to see in detail who is responsible for what.
The subject reshuffle reflects the strategic alignment for the NCFC, based on certain synergies and skill sets that strengthen the government’s ability to deliver on priorities, Ebanks said in a press release.
“Restructuring our ministries to create more focused and coordinated portfolios enables us to give greater attention to critical policy areas like Caymanian employment, education and housing. Our goal is to deliver meaningful and measurable outcomes for our people, and I am pleased that work is already well underway,” he added.

We have another depression/recession coming down the pipe line and people has already and will soon start screaming, kicking and crying because of the Cost of Living and Home Foreclosurers with no options available to down grade to smaller or cheaper living accomodations
Hence, its important for our leaders to be ready with meaningful solutions available to our people to get by
Therefore, i urge our leaders to be forward thinking and not reactive to the housing situation………..
ncfc=no change for cayman
Nothing will get done. Did anything came out of the CarPay fiasco? People Who were in charge went on to open their own medial practice and air ambulance service.
Where is the justice?
That’s not an organization chart, it a list. Let see the one with the boxes and the lines, like this one:

I listened with utter disgust this morning on CMR an incident involving a minor at the HSA. It was highlighted that this was not the first. It was brought to light that they are a number of “Covered UP” incidents happening at the HSA. There was a public outcry from the listening audience along with commentators. I sincerely hope and pray Action taken by the new MOH to weed out and resolve. This is very disgraceful!
I was horrified. If true, it’s utter and outright neglect and any response suggesting a 13 year old girl initiated the incident is completely reckless and the person has no right to be in their profession. I don’t know about our Ministers, and the Guv is simply useless… surely someone from the UK should be stepping in to investigate this. That poor girl, and also the 9 year old boy from the sounds of things, are still being severely neglected not to mention completely traumatized for life as a result of this. Damn it, I’m traumatized from just listening.
Every single person involved should be removed from their job (no pay!) and prosecuted. Nothing but heads on a platter will satisfy me at this stage.
When will the over 65s uncovered by Cinico Insurance, be able to get Cinico Coverage . Wasn’t a motion already passed by Chris Saunders who made a written statement as this was proposed by him
what does that have to do with anything?
It has a lot to do with something! You heartless, insensitive and disrespectful animal. We the uncovered Pensioners, Seamen and veterans contributed to the Cayman Island. Unfortunately some us left the Govt Service before actually retiring. We all get pensions and stipends so why not give us Cinico Coverage instead of letting us pay health Insurance from our widow mite pension and stipends. CUC. Bills are astronomical, we can’t depend on our children as they also is feeling the pinch. We are in the minority so it’s not going to be in the millions like Kenneth Bryan Vanity Park.
NCFC I am imploring you to Let us have Cinico Insurance, I will NOT stop 🛑 advocating on CNS and other media platforms.
where’s the money you saved for retirement?
you knew this was comming now you expect CIG to bail you out.
only way it should happen is to put a lien on your assets so when you croak it they can recover the funds
Not the right place for this comment. Have some shock, outrage, empathy for these children!
11:31 your private sector employer should be taking care of you. Government is taking care of too many.
You really believed Chris Blunders.
Skill sets being key.
Civil servants get reshuffled following an election — a non-sensical practice which should be discontinued. That is how people with degrees in environmental science (for example) end up in roles that have zero relevance to their field which lowers efficiency and morale. It also curbs innovation because because they applied for a position they were passionate about, then find themselves doing something else through no fault of their own.
Wait till you see the mess happening in education announced today.
Kids will end up paying for the shuffles accountable to political window dressing.
