(CNS): Four Jamaican nationals have been deported, including Neville Peter Butler, who is wanted by the Jamaican authorities on suspicion of murder. Ravan L. George, who is also wanted in Jamaica for serious offences, and two of their associates, one of whom landed in the Cayman Islands illegally, have also been sent home. All four men were removed Friday morning under the Customs and Border Control Act, CBC officials said in a short release.

Butler has been hiding in Cayman since he evaded police last month when they arrested Rudolph Almando Shaw, another Jamaican suspected killer, who had arrived in Cayman by boat illegally.

All four fugitives were arrested during an RCIPS operation on 6 August. The two unnamed men are also wanted by the Jamaica Constabulary Force for questioning. One had landed here illegally and the other was in the Cayman Islands on a work permit, which has been revoked by Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman (WORC).

The four men were escorted to Jamaica this morning by the CBC, RCIPS and Prison Officers and were handed over to the Jamaica authorities upon arrival there.

Way too many Jamaicans in this country. Pretty soon they will outnumber Caymanians. Is it any wonder the criminal activity here has gotten out of control? Someone in gov better wake up!!!!

The problem of illegal immigration from Jamaica (and elsewhere) to the Cayman Islands is a matter of national security and therefore should be law enforcement’s top priority. This is destroying our country, our culture and our way of life. Illegal immigrants are bringing their violent and criminal behavior to our country, and making their illegal acts commonplace here. We’ve never seen this level of criminality here before.

Don’t mistake my concern for prejudice. I fully appreciate the vast number of Jamaicans that have come here legally, worked hard and made considerable contributions to our society. My concern is the criminal acts of a few that are destroying our country on a daily basis.

It is great to see that these individuals were caught and deported. However a concern and focus should be at taking steps to avoid such undesirable persons entering Cayman, regardless of where they are from (I suspect we have a few wanted people from the Philippines and India here as well). Perhaps CBC should look at sharing information with Jamaica (and other countries) – and implementing face recognition software.

Why do these clowns need big ass Chevy SUVs? I’m sure a little old Transit van would suffice.

All I can think of is that they imported a load of ego completely duty-free.

Those are the CBC K9 unit chevy SUVs, which are outfitted to transport their canine partners not for transporting prisoners. The picture used for this article is very misleading.

And those ‘clowns’ as you so rudely put it are the reason why RCIPS have been successful in getting all those illegal guns / drugs. Unfortunately the CBC K9 unit are not given the recognition they should!

So, you’re saying a Transit van would still suffice?

The clowns I’m referring to would be due to the amount of RCIPS who made the jump across to this arm.

CBC, I’m sure have some great K9s and handlers, but mostly the rest are struggling to squeeze into a uniform while being unpleasant to airport users.

The writing is in the wall. Look at the latest figures of nationals from third world countries, like Jamaica. It’s facts, not speculation. Cayman is so caught up with making money, it is willing to destroy itself in the process.

So since the government has decide not to even charge these individuals for illegal landing and appear to not be investigating this entire circumstances surrounding this very dangerous situation of how they got and by what means and to be here driving around including who or why these individuals were being aiding and assisted to remain here. Can our Jamaican Attorney General please tell us what legal basis does the Cayman Islands government have to deport them or stop them from returning to the Cayman Islands?? Yet we are jailing our own people for lengthy prison sentences over 10 years. Please don’t tell us our government is saving us time and money because that would be miraculous new concept . The just seems like someone or some individuals with in our government are quietly trying to play down the existential threat that Jamaican criminals here now pose to the Cayman Islands and that in itself is the real travesty of justice and like the last Jamaican Robbery gang who were quietly convicted and conveniently trickle out of here with this out of sight out of mind policy we again see here. This apparently new policy of right to family life where only Judges and attorneys can determine if convicted and foreign criminals can be deported didn’t apply here it seems oh well different strokes for different folks .

We are jailing our own people for more than 10 years because they have committed serious offences. You don’t get 10 years for illegal landing, so don’t get your knickers in a twist over them being deported without spending time and money on a trial.

Why no one was not arrested for helping those criminals ? Someone or someones must have been helping to hide those and other criminals

And we can only IMAGINE the large number of criminals and murderers we have here via ganja boats from our wonderful island of Jamaica, as the Cayman Islands has never had any real boarder protection since the drug trade began in the early 70’s until now, coupled with the fact that our successive Govts have been completely ignorant to this GLARING likelihood of illegal entry/human trafficking OR… had enough knowledge of this happening over the decades and simply didn’t Give a flipping ****. So we are only left to IMAGINE the potential ADDITIONAL threat to the security of these once mostly peaceful Cayman Islands or “THE PROMISE LAND” as Jamaicans are now calling it.

I now call it GAME OVER!

So no penalties for multiple serious breaches of important Cayman laws? Is someone trying prevent anyone from pointing out that the majority of prisoners are Jamaican, or what?

You are just too full of mischief. This is not the run of the mill CNS story with the usual xenophobic comments. These are wanted-in-jamaica criminals , so let them be incarcerated there, and save us the expense of housing them here. Move on from the sh!t stirring.

No. I am horrified at the damage a particular demographic does to my homeland, and the near absolute impunity with which they are permitted to act.

Where are the arrests of the numerous persons that aided and abetted?

2.43 you can be a part of the solution by not supporting or voting for politicians who encourage the importation of that “certain demographic” .
They do so just to keep in overpaid power, not for the sake of Cayman.

When they first arrest someone for stealing their employee pension monies, or prosecute someone for fronting, please let me know. Until then they will largely remain an expensive scam. Robust in their milking of our society, and little else.

Just look at poor Prentice Panton. Been stolen from hundreds of times. No substantial action by the authorities, even where the names of the criminals responsible are known. This should disgust every Caymanian. #worldclassmyass.
