SUV seized after jewellery shop robbery

(CNS): Police have seized an SUV that they suspect was used in the jewellery store robbery along the George Town Harbour front on Saturday morning. No one has been arrested yet in connected with the armed hold-up and police are still looking for a man spotted in the area of Courts Road at about 10:30am on Sunday. Police have confirmed that none of the Cuban migrants recently rescued are people of interest in the case at present.

    And here is where it would be good to know what the suv looks like so we can help if we saw it at all recently. Fricking wonderland police farce.

      In the first instance they’ll be trawling through CCTV. They’re not going to ask for the public’s help unless they think it will help.

      They will have canvassed the people in the area already. Chill.

      Likewise the description given is vague. They’ll have some good CCTV footage of him for sure.

      It seems frustrating, but if and when the perpetrator is caught, it’s easier to build the case without having the images in the public domain with every Tom, Dick and Harry tagging the suspect’s name/who they think it is.

        I guess you were trained where our police farce was. It makes sense to alert the public with anything about descriptions so we can help find them. If you think they know who and where the suspect(s) are than why haven’t they been arrested?

      Yes. Accurate and timely descriptions mean the difference between apprehending or losing a suspect.
