(CNS): Kurt Fabian Ebanks (44), who was released early on licence from his life sentence for murder, is back in jail. Ebanks had breached his conditional release and last week police put out a public appeal to help them find him and two other men who had breached the conditions of their early release as well.

Ebanks was arrested on Wednesday night in West Bay and is now in custody. However, Otis Myles (34) and Mitchum Wood (32) remain at large. Police continue to ask for the public’s help in seeking the two men, who were serving time for burglaries when they were released.

While the full details of the breaches have not been revealed by the RCIPS, all three men were no longer staying at the residences specified in their release conditions, which is a sufficient breach to trigger their arrest in any event.

11:20 PM, you are 100 % right, hope they don’t let any more murderers out, keep them in jail until the one that was murdered comes back to life

Here we have someone that was sent to prison based and spent majority of their life there, and did not commit the act of “Murder”; yet it is being circulated that this was the crime committed without knowing the full circumstances and details of his specific case is indeed the practice of spreading ignorance and misinformation.

Just look how easily everyone jumps on the negativity bandwagon in the comments without knowing a single piece of information of his case. Probably the same folks masking up outside in fresh air.

It’s people like you that enable these criminals to continue to break the rules. Kurt was not convicted of “possible murder”, he is convicted of murder, he is a murderer. A spade is a spade. He appealed the sentence all the way to the highest court and he was not successful. Are you saying all the courts and all the judges got it wrong? AND on top of that, he was released and STILL couldn’t follow the rules. He needs to serve LIFE. It starts with breaking small rules and then escalates into worse infractions.

How was a convicted murderer released? And on top of that alarming fact, he couldn’t be found?? Mr. Ebanks has no concept of law and order. He needs to be locked away for life!

For every day they are unaccounted for, add 5 YEARS to their sentence. Hopefully an extra 130 years or so will be sufficient for their rehabilitation.

Why can’t we try to “re-home” some of these people on license instead of just pushing them further into the corporate prison system?

Why don’t we stop releasing convicted criminals who have received life sentences?

      • AnonymousX says:

To me, a life sentence is a more cruel form of punishment than the death penalty. Besides, Lex Talionis, eye for an eye – if someone murders an innocent person, and we know beyond doubt he or she committed murder, then the state should sentenced that person to death. I think that’s only fair. You take life, then your life should be taken.

Interestingly, I find those who are for abortion and lgbt rights, are the first against capital punishment, a fair Justice system.

        Why is that?

Excellent idea – we’ll put them on the next flight to the UK and release them on license to Wormwood Scrubs
