(CNS): There are now 26 active cases of COVID-19 in Cayman after another two people tested positive for the virus. Chief Medical Officer Dr John Lee said 352 coronavirus tests were carried out over the last day and the rest were negative. The two positive samples were asymptomatic travellers. There are five people currently said to be suffering COVID symptoms but no one is in hospital with the virus.

All of these active cases are among 1,411 travellers who are still in isolation, either at a government quarantine facility or in their homes. Cayman has now recorded 97 cases since the borders opened on 1 October in travellers returning to the islands.

In total 310 people have tested positive for the virus here since testing began in March. Just two people have died and there has been no community transmission since July. Government officials have now carried out 57,430 tests.

The World Health Organization released a guidance memo on December 14th, warning that high cycle thresholds on PCR tests will result in false positives.

Now cycles threshold rate, kept at 25 once the needle prick is out can be used to show a false efficacy for the jab.

Some labs are doing 45 spins when 25 was the agreed upon number for accuracy..beyond 25 false positives show up.

This rinky dink government nor Dr Lee has not said a word about what is occurring in the UK with this variant and highly contagious Covid 19 that has obviously mutated which has increased the rate of infections there. Once again intentionally and conveniently SILENT!! In the face of the increase we are no doubt seeing here ourselves! A lair commits the offense of lying in two ways by Act or Omission??

What is happening in Australia at the moment is yet another example of why we should require people to get tested pre-flight so that no one is contagious on incoming flights. Do we really have to wait for a disaster before we use common sense?

Australia now has community spread once again after an incoming traveler infected a person who transports people from Sydney airport and that person took it home to the community.

Why are we not testing before allowing people onto the planes?
Each infected person that gets on a plane and flies to
Cayman risks putting us back into a mess.
I know that government wants to make it easier for people to travel but what is the equation? How many people’s lives are worth making it easier for someone else to travel without being tested.

Despite Bermuda’s descent into a Covid nightmare the Bermuda government is to be given credit for being very open in telling their people which flight each infected traveler arrives on in order to help Bermudians make travel decisions. Why, apart from a general preference for keeping the electorate ignorant, does our government insist on treating us like mushrooms – keeping us in the dark and feeding us mostly sh##.

Now that the UK flights have stopped for the next 3 weeks any new arrival positives will be from the US and Miami. I wonder what those numbers will look like.
