the only thing you will be disliked for is for being an idiot. you take a subset of any nationality that’s below the poverty line and the result will be same. hear this radical idea… employ properly skilled workers and pay them a decent salary, that can go a long way in curbing undesirable night time activities. This Island insatiable appetite for slave labor will be its own undoing.

Stop it and stop judging because no body knows where these crimals are from, we have at least 135 different nationalities living and working here in cayman

there is no consequence for these types of actions. Over the years so many break ins and robberies go unsolved it sends the message that you can do it and most likely get away with it too.

Cayman loves to get into the gossip and know everything that’s happening, but somehow the police are always begging for information. I remember back when I was in UCCI, of how people were almost bragging about the fact they knew who held up the CNB @ country side. Of course they wouldn’t tell anyone but they had to brag that they know who did. Its this mentality that is contributing to what we have going on now. The years of people getting away with crimes stems from the community protecting people and using them as currency to gain social standing in their circles.

I hate to bring it up but repatriation flights! Regardless of nationality of these suspects, if individuals cannot financially support themselves, it is best to send people back where their native country can better assist their needs and conserve funds for our natives to support ours.

Although all countries are cash strapped, countries are standardizing more resources for locals first and others second, in addition to the international funds being established to supply excess need. This ensures everyone is better taken care of, more equally subsidized, and suppresses the need for anyone to resort to criminal activities to survive.

I am not anti-immigrant, but being pro-Caymanian isn’t and should not be equated to as such. God-willing when the global economy recovers and surpluses can be achieved after fully recognizing and supplying to the needs of locals everywhere, the conversation can change. Until then, increasing crime doesn’t truly benefit anyone and makes life for everyone here, local or not, more miserable to bear.

Where are the expensive CCTVs that the government purchased? Are they operable or like most purchases, gifted. No value for money.

Slowly taking effect here now, happy to live with litter everywhere, cars that aren’t roadworthy, bars on windows etc.
