(CNS): Police are on the hunt for two men who mugged a victim on Sunday, with their faces covered and armed with a machete, in another daylight robbery in George Town. The two suspects approached a man on Eastern Avenue near Watlers Drive at around 3pm yesterday and demanded cash, as one of them brandished a machete. Once they had the victim’s money, the muggers fled on foot in the direction of Watlers Drive. No one was hurt in the incident, police said.

Police said the perpetrators were both wearing shorts and had their faces covered. One was brown skinned and about 5’6′ and had on a t-shirt; the other was said to be short and slim with light skin.

This is the second street robbery in the same area of George Town in less than a week. A West Bay man was arrested on Thursday in connection with a mugging last Tuesday morning. Police have not said whether he has been charged and remains in custody or has since been released.

No arrests have been made in this latest robbery and the matter is currently under investigation.

How about a patrol car just for Eastern Avenue at night and two on weekends? There are supposedly 400 police on this island. Get serious about crime. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist. Dump road also needs attention.

How about any patrol ever? In the span of five minutes this morning I saw two cars overtake head on in traffic on S. Sound Rd. and then Walkers Road only to get one car ahead of where they were stuck in traffic before… they did almost get into a head on collision both times. Then, someone decided they would pull out right in front of me and I barely swerved to miss them. How about cops for all of it? The only time they do their job was when we were all locked in and they had a power boner.

“I honestly would not walk on Eastern Ave”

I saw a white woman walking along Eastern Avenue yesterday and it was like seeing a unicorn because of that quote above. Not to be racist or anything but I’ve seen that maybe one other time in the last 10 years.

Thought you were a Christian nation? I’m an atheist and whenever I’ve been on the bread line I didn’t mug people.

So you think Christians go to church on Sundays and then they rob people with machetes on the weekdays?

You are and atheist, and also the clearly the perfect definition of a libtard.

      • Anonymous says:

See, Christian kind strikes again. You can’t help but to prove atheists are better people every time.

You think Dumb and Dumber would be at the front of any queue for gainful employment?

    Stop it with this nonsense.

Well I hope you know that every job that cannot be filled by locals creates a vacuum that will (not might) be filled by a foreigner who may or may not have everyone’s best interests at heart.

Current legislation does not mandate any verifiable detailed reasoning to deny locals employment. There is no airtight law to secure locals have any first preference!!!

Be careful who you point your finger at, we are all on the bubble against anyone or robot who can do our job better by any business metric!!

Take a stand, train them or we all will be locked of the castle!!
