(CNS): The police seized 38 mature ganja plants after a drug bust on Wednesday at an address in Ranch Road, Bodden Town, where officers were acting on information that ganja was being cultivated in the area. Police gave few details about the drug operation, which they described as intelligence-led and gave no indication that any arrests had been made. The matter is still under police investigation.

if you do the crime be prepared to do the time. Obey the Laws of the Land! Thanks RCIPS for doing your job, they are not to blame. Just say “NO” to drugs!!

the police farce yet again showing how ineffective they are in tackling real crime….

“hello 911 what is your emergency”

“AM YEAA I think my neighbor is growing a cannabis plant beside his tomatoes.”

“M’aam, in all due respect, we legalized that plant along with Canada, USA and Mexico last year. Do you have a real crime or emergency to report?”

I suppose in your world we would only enforce the laws you approved. Why not start a petition to de-criminalize or even fully legalize marijuana instead of complaining about cops actually doing some of their job?

It starts by the police allocating resources on a basis of priority. This is not a priority.

It’s possible that the real gangsters are ratting-out small-time local producers that are angling to disrupt their agreed supply chain. Maybe that’s the RCIPS or Political priority seeing as there are nearly zero high profile local arrests with coke and dope aplenty. It’s not like they don’t know who the gangs are, their locations, and their leadership…it really makes you wonder.

Thank God they arrested those plants. Theres no telling what damage could have been done to the alcohol, cannabis oil and coke ring they got going on down here.

Can’t have the little man trying to get in on the pharmacy’s drug ring.

Waste of time and resources for all concerned. Should be able to grow this god given seed / medical plant in my backyard.

Found 38 plants but can guarantee there’s 3,800 more out there.

To the downvoters: I’ll give you $100 if you can give me a valid reason why I should be locked up for growing cannabis for personal use on my own land concealed and protected from the public.

Because if people can produce a better and healthier alternative to alcohol in their own ground, the billion dollar alcohol industry will stop lining politician’s pockets.

Doesn’t have to happen here, that’s why propaganda like “reefer madness” and “devils lettuce” was spread back in the day to justify classifying it with heroin or cocaine and therefore having the means to criminalize Mexican and Black minorities.

Dear Johnny Hundreds…it’s illegal to cultivate a controlled drug under the Misuse of Drugs Law (2017 Revision). Please donate your extra $100 to the Humane Society. 38 mature plants (not the empty pots from file photo), is a good-sized commercial grow op. Until that kind of production is legalized, you should have a reasonable expectation of going to jail if caught.
