Graffiti at Webster’s Estates

(CNS): Two boys who are understood to be just 13 years old have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and damage to property after an alleged vandalism spree at the Webster’s Estates in the South Sound area of George Town. The boys are accused of a spray paint graffiti rampage on walls and signs, as well as smashing car windows, doors and street lights sometime on Thursday night last week.

The vandalism was reported to police early Thursday morning and it is understood the boys were caught on CCTV. As a result police tracked down the teenagers and arrested them on Saturday.

The boys were interviewed by the police and granted bail into the custody of their parents pending further inquiries.

“We would like to thank the members of the community who came together quickly to support each other just after the incident and assist police officers with the investigation,” said Deputy Police Commissioner Kurt Walton. “We have a quick and concrete result that they helped bring about.”
