(CNS): A repeat offender from George Town will be sentenced in Grand Court in June, having admitted to burglary at a house in Greenwood Drive last October. James Andy Myles (32) pleaded guilty to the offence Friday after pleading not guilty to the original charge laid against him, aggravated burglary, as he was carrying a knife at the time. However, prosecutors accepted the lesser crime. Myles, who has been committing similar offences for the best part of a decade, was remanded in custody until the sentencing.

Why not take this case to trial on the full charges? How is this less important than the old lady tourist with the gun in her luggage? Cayman needs to get serious about all these repeat offenders.

Another guilty plea, another 35% discount on his sentence and another 50% off what he serves and then back to the old routine.
