@CNS incorrect information (it happened very close to us). When the ambulance pulled up, 2 police cars blocked the road already and one of the officers was helping the young man. It would surprise me if the ambulance is even allowed to go there without police…If your info is from the rcips someone is doing a shitty job. Sensitive detail I’d say…Hope the young guy will recover and find it’s way.

CNS: Here is the police report on the RCIPS website.

If someone was shooting people and I didn’t have a gun I would take my time getting to the scene

If someone was shooting people I would hope one of those people are carrying a gun so that they don’t have to wait an eternity for a good guy with a gun to come along to help.

At least one of the people involved was carrying a gun. Whether any of the people involved in a shooting at 120 am, in the absence of any clear indication it was a robbery or a home invasion, is a good person who if only they had a gun would have been able to avoid being shot or defend themselves, versus bad actors resolving issues between themselves, I reserve judgment on.

Why did it take the police so long to get there? If they were making their presence known on the street like they were for Kaboo then less things would be happening.

Simple answer is that Kaboo was for the Dart group privileged people and this shooting was just between the common Cayman people.

Some so called “foreigners” may bring the guns in but it’s Caymanians who are buying them and using them. Wether you like to hear it or not.

I never said that Caymanians were the only criminals. However they make up the vast majority of crime committed here. I’m reading the news but maybe you’re only reading the parts you want to read. For your information I am also born Caymanian

That no one had this brilliant idea before you…Criminal and illegal kinda go together.
But hey – give it a try, I am sure the scumbags would turn their guns in if they only knew it’s illegal to have them…

Cayman has really gone to crime, the criminals has it too easy, bring back hard labour and corporal punishment like they have in Singapore and crime would be very low like in Singapore . Human rights has ruined many parts of the world , like criminals has rights, if someone willfully kills another human, then that criminal not supposed to have any rights.

I didn’t say anything like that. I simply said that a statement like “human rights has ruined many parts of the world” is ignorant and idiotic. We can debate the pros and cons of all the different human rights without being hyperbolic, at least we should be able to. Then again based on the way you and the op expressed yourselves, i doubt either of you have a solid grasp on what “human rights” encompass. Please tell us, exactly what parts of the world has human rights ruined?

If you think crime has increased because of human rights then you should go check the statistics And back up your uneducated opinion with fact. Criminals ruin the world, powerful groups taking advantage of the poor and uneducated ruin the world, racists ruin the world, pollution ruins the world, etc etc. Considering all those things, you’re saying that trying to treat all humankind with humanity and respect is the ruin of the world? That’s disturbing.
