Cayman News Service(CNS): The Economics and Statistics Office will begin its annual business surveys to measure the country’s economic performance in 2018 next week. The ESO needs data for the System of National Accounts (SNA), which estimates the total value of goods and services produced by the different industries in the Cayman Islands, and for the Balance of Payments (BOP), which measures total payment of residents to and receipts from the rest of the world. The survey starts on 8 April and forms will be hand-delivered, mailed or emailed to every entity producing goods or services in Cayman.

Officials from the ESO said that all survey returns are confidential as mandated by the Statistics Law and are exempt from the Freedom of Information (FOI) Law. The survey returns will be used exclusively for ESO’s statistical purposes and published only in aggregate form, with all individual information remaining confidential.

All survey respondents will be required to return a completed form by the survey deadline of 7 June and staff will be available to assist entities in completing the forms.

Survey forms and other information can also be found on the ESO website or can be requested by contacting 244-4679 or 244-4600.

Here we go again, for the last couple of years they have sent our survey to the wrong address and we have gotten threatening phones of my arrest if I don’t complete the form..
So very simple when I’m asked how much does mu company make? How much do I pay my staff etc etc..
My answer is more than a $1..(im not lying) .

When can’t they just go see our company annual returns, immigration and other government bodies for this info?
