Cayman News Service(CNS): Police are appealing to witnesses or anyone that may have information about a foiled aggravated burglary on Wednesday night at a home in the Birch Tree Hill area of West Bay. Two men, one armed with an object that appeared to be a handgun and the other carrying a long metal object, entered the house at around 10:30pm and demanded money from the occupant. But the victim got into a struggle with one of the home invaders, which led to both of the perpetrators fleeing from the home empty handed.

Police said that the victim is understood not to have sustained any serious injuries during the attack, which is now under investigation. No descriptions of the suspects has been released and police confirmed that so far no one has been arrested.

Anyone with information is urged to contact West Bay CID at 949-3999. Anonymous tips can be provided to the RCIPS Confidential Tip Line at 949-7777, or  website. Tips can also be submitted anonymously via the Miami-based call centre of Crime Stoppers at 800-8477(TIPS), or online.
