Car thieves still ‘choosing’ Honda civics

(CNS) UPDATED: Police have recovered the latest stolen Honda, in the Prospect area of George Town. As local auto-thieves still go after the Civic model police reported  on Friday that this car had been stolen from the Strand area in Seven Mile Beach. The silver-grey 1999 Honda Civic registration #106 289 was stolen from the roadside near the Miniwarehouse site on Canal Point Drive. It was last seen around 3am on Thursday, 28 March. Anyone with information regarding auto theft is asked to call 911 or the George Town Police Station at 949-4222. Anonymous tips can be provided to the RCIPS Confidential Tip Line at 949-7777, or website. Tips can also be submitted anonymously via the Miami-based call centre of Crime Stoppers at 800-8477(TIPS), or online.

      They are a popular model because people like to modify them for racing and because it is a highly sold model, people steal them to strip them for parts.
