Location of assault in West Bay 13 Dec 2018

(CNS): A West Bay woman is in hospital and a 32-year-old man has been arrested following a serious assault in the district on Wednesday night, police have now confirmed. The RCIPS said that their officers went to an address on North West Point Road Thursday evening after a neighbour became concerned about the welfare of the victim following what they believed had been an altercation the previous night. When police arrived at the home and did not get a response, they entered the residence and found an unconscious woman suffering from head injuries. The victim was rushed to hospital, where she remains in serious but stable condition.

Police were told by the concerned members of the public who made the report that the woman had been assaulted by a man known to her on Wednesday. CNS understands that the suspect, who was arrested today on suspicion of attempted murder, is the woman’s son and he remains in custody as investigations continue.

The incident is suspected to have taken place on Wednesday, 12 December, between 11:00pm and midnight. Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything, or may have any information about the incident to contact West Bay CID at 949-3999.

Anonymous tips can be provided to the RCIPS Confidential Tip Line at 949-7777, or the RCIPS website. Tips can also be submitted anonymously via the Miami-based call centre of Crime Stoppers at 800-8477(TIPS), or online.

  1. Me Too movement says:

There’s a lot of crap goes on in marriages, families that people refuse to report listening to stories from people of touching, beatings, inappropriate punishments,, it’s been going on since and before the 90s even when the population was less,
Cayman needs a “ME TOO” outcry then watch all the filth start to squirm.
One on Cayman I dare you,

In the nineties I know someone in West Bay who threw his wife overboard and left her in the middle of the ocean.

She reported it to the cops but nothing was done. I see the guy walking around Cayman like nothing happened. So it wasn’t all good back then either.

There should be mandatory guidance counselors in every school. Every student should have daily/weekly therapy sessions and for those that need general life guidance, provide them with guidance on schools to attend and careers to aspire. That way no one feels they are bad children. The children get extra help if they don’t have guidance at home. The ones that really need the help can learn self esteem building and communication skills or whatever it is they need.

Adults/teens use drugs to compensate for some pain they want to block. They didn’t learn positive coping mechanisms. Drugs are an easy way out. So is turning to violence if you weren’t taught how to handle difficult emotions or any emotions.

I used drugs cause it was fun I thought. Not saying it’s right but just saying not every teen tries drugs because they have shit family. Now, the fact my family isn’t shit is the reason I just dabbled I’m sure.

About that whole district…wholla rest of island need road rage rehab. West Bayer in West Bay and I doing well never had my house broken into and just waiting to take my next corporate gig at Camana Bay and keep pulling down my 8 k pay cheque with no a care in the world. Plus on family land so everything cris and paid off from 100 years ago.

In 20 years youll come to two realizations 1) Don’t do that and 2) you bought overpriced land in some other district while Dart was eyeing the Western Pennisula all along….location location location…

That district, are you serious?? There are just as bad or even worse have gone on in other districts. Remember a few months ago a young man chopped his father to death, that wasn’t West Bay sorrg.

What an idiot. So the man attempting to murder his baby in BT means you would never live in BT? What about the foreign woman who murdered her child in East End? No EE either then? Oh and we cannot forget the girl who murdered her boyfriend in Northside! I guess no NS then eh? And the two brothers who blew the head off of the young man down in scranton! I guess you will not live GT. Again…a complete idiot. This has nothing to do with WB. Has everything to do with mental illness, evil and societal failures.

And it is predominately in West Bay because of the inbreeding. The ppl just change their last names so they won’t all be Ebanks. But they are all Ebanks marrying each other.

Wow. What a stereotype. You could say that about all districts in cayman. They have parishes in other islands larger than largest district of GT.

    • Anonymous says:

Yes WB has its issues just like all other districts. I’ve lived in WB all my life and would not want to live in GT, BT, EE or NS.

It’s funny how we’re not hearing much from people like you, regarding how nice it is to live with all the robberies, burglaries and GBH assaults happening in your ‘neck of the woods’ these days! 🙂

It was much better when a father was raising children in the home. But a lot of women don’t really pick the right men

There isn’t much to choose from. The quality of men just isn’t there. They aren’t a strong hardworking bunch and definitely not responsible. These women pick the best of what’s available. Unfortunately travel and expats are the only way to find a decent one.

Even the children of so called good families. Those ‘children’ who are grown adults still behave like children, live at home, waste their free time with drugs and blame society for their problems.

The one in the bar definitely won’t be in the supermarket. Plus ppl shop online for books or download on kindle. The ones in bookstores are old and feeble.

Blaming women for mens failures is part of the problem as it just alleviates blame from the men involved
