(CNS): Caine Demetree Thomas (18) has pleaded guilty to a catalog of offences committed overnight on 17/18 June last year that began with a car theft and ended with a home invasion in Prospect. Thomas was charged alongside Elmer Wright (24) and Nikel Thomas (22), who have both denied the charges and are scheduled to go on trial in November. Thomas has now admitted stealing a Honda Civic from outside a hotel on the West Bay Road before attempting to break into a home nearby, then moving on to Prospect and committing an aggravated burglary.

Thomas faces charges of theft, attempted burglary, damage to property, possession of an imitation gun with intent and aggravated burglary.

The teenager was remanded in custody until a proposed sentencing hearing, which will take place after the other two men, who police say committed the crime spree with Thomas, have faced trial.
