There comes a point where you start to remember the story of the boy who cried wolf one too many times…..

she is not a woman, she is a child. this is defined by the Laws of the Cayman Islands. She is not yet of age to be a woman.
she needs to be under the care of people who love her and are willing to train her up to be a worthwhile individual and citizen of this country. If something does not happen to let her see the dangers of her path she might be walking around with a trail of children behind her and with no one to help her which just compounds the problem.

the age of consent in Cayman is 16,? I think. Anyway, does this child have either parent that may take an interest in her well-being?. It is frightening to think what all can happen to her.
Good parenting is sadly lacking in this country..

15? People, she is an adult now! At least in many places, she is considered an adult. In the state of Texas, she can marry at 14!!!

Please stop wasting government funds on her. I am sure she is alright. When you teach young people the way they should live, and they don’t listen, you did your part!

Now … just leave the woman alone for crying out loud! Let her be!

That’s just great. If you could just stop trying to be a creepy sociopath for long enough to consider the cost of letting her drop out from education at 15 and become another uneducated ‘adult’ perhaps you’d realise looking after her now for a few more years could be far cheaper in the long run. You know, even ignoring the moral responsibility of looking after a child that’s been given a crap enough start in life.

Its sad, and I understand the importance of education and counseling. But if she refuses those things … then what?

Do you chase and run her down. Send police to find her. Put her face in the newspaper. You have to be in shoes of the one you want to help. I dont care if you are the most loving parent. By you pushing these things on her and she refuses, you are only creating more barriers, more walls. You have to agree with them and think how they think to keep an open relationship. You cant force a horse to drink water. The horse will grow to hate you more and more everyday. This is common sense.

        I too must smh

I agree, but there is a point at which the child has to cooperate. Are you going to force her to go to school, to handcuff her to a minder to make sure she doesn’t run away?
