Police charge two following latest gun bust

Gun and ammo recovered 11 April

(CNS): A 31-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman from Bodden Town have been charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm and possession of ammunition following a raid last week in Newlands. Police had seized a loaded Glock 17 automatic pistol during the bust and arrested the couple as well as a 50-year-old woman. Police said the couple will appear in court today to answer the gun charges, when the man will face an additional charge of possession of ganja.

Police said the second woman, who is from George Town, has been placed on police bail.
