Freemasons claim discrimination

| 09/02/2018 | 110 Comments

(CNS): Freemasons in the UK are claiming that their members are “undeservedly stigmatised” and are calling for an end to the discrimination they suffer. The BBC and other media outlets in the UK report that the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) has placed full-page advertisements in several national newspapers and has written to the Equality and Human Rights Commission about the allegations the organisation faces that it has undue influence over police and politicians. The advert complains of the “gross misrepresentation” of its members.

Headed “Enough is enough”, the English Freemasons claim in the advert that they raised £33m for good causes last year, adding that people of any race, faith, age, class or political persuasion were welcome in the 300-year-old organisation — though the United Grand Lodge of England is restricted to men, with separate women-only lodges.

The outgoing chairman of the Police Federation of England and Wales, Steve White, recently told the BBC that the Freemasons were blocking reform in policing and thwarting the progress of women and those from black and ethnic backgrounds. However, the chief executive of the Freemasons in England, Dr David Staples, rejected those claims as “laughable”.

There are believed to be a number of masons in Cayman who are also politicians, police officers and business leaders. According to the website they meet at the Freemasons’ Hall on Mahogany Way in Prospect on Grand Cayman on the third Friday of the month and the second Friday in Cayman Brac. There is both a website and Facebook page but neither gives much insight into Cayman’s membership or what it does.

I am a visiting to the islands. And I am a Freemason, high level too.
    I can vouch the following:
A Freemason swears on the book he believes in (bible or whatever other religious book it is) that he will not break any civil laws in the country he is in.
And if he breaks this obligation, he is kicked out of the organization and not protected by it in anyway.
I am not sure what murder you are referring to, or who that person is, but if a mason is known to be a murderer or any other criminal act is proven on him, he MUST be kicked out and denounced as a brother void of all moral worth.

The above is 100% true. We do believe in God and fear God, and there is nothing sinsester in freemasonry.

In Jamaica Freemasonry is dead serious business. There is at least one judge on the Court of Appeal here who is part of the Jamaica and Cayman lodge and appears online in his Freemasonry garb without shame. They consolidate their power which is very real. People are right to fear and deride them. They have a great deal of power here.

Note I said he has not been “arrested”, not that he is not known. The Police know who he is and because he is a Lodge member is why he hasn’t been arrested. No need for me to report him, they already know!

My point is, Lodge members can get away with anything in Cayman, without penalty. But they can’t hide from Jah justice!

These people don’t care about the natives from their own Countries, what on Earth makes you think they came here to care about you or I?

Personally, I don’t care if they do or not. I don’t hold them accountable for their lack of emotions or empathy for man-kind in general. They love their animals / pets more than people. LOL that’s enough for you to understand their mentality.

Of course not. Not automatically. It’s about who you know it’s kind of like the rest of the world and the way it works. But when there is a club of executives and govt. hire ups in it that can pull those strings the possibilities are endless if you’re their friend. Of course they wouldn’t advertise it as a type of shield for people who are in the club. But you know damn well these ppl get off because of who they know and who’s a$$ they kiss they kiss the best. Which they can do so because they are in that club. Otherwise they wouldn’t have a connection with those types. Just another one of those exclusive benefits I guess.

    Myth Buster

A secret organization with numerous web pages. Hmmm?

An organization that does not publish its membership list. Hmmm.. Been trying to find a published list of Lions, Rotary, Kiwanis members. Let me know if you do.

An organization who’s members wield influence at the highest levels of society. Hmmmm… the service clubs above probably have more influencial members in them than the Masons do.

The Lodge. The Lodge is where they meet, not who they are. There are several fraternies in existence. However the two most commonly referred to as “The Lodge” are The Mechanics and The Freemasons. Two separate groups who’s membership do not interchange.

They can do anything and get away with it. There are many ex brothers who thought the same thing until they tried and were expelled

I don’t support many things that happen in the UK but when can we start that program to diminish these good old boys control and corrupt influence of this island. Too many have top positions in Government and statutory boards and the like. too many decisions and contract awards to their affiliates and members. The Law enforcement arm is inundated by this bunch and most civil judgements issued wreaks of their disgusting influence.

“There is none so blind as those who do not want to see”, or for that matter appreciate real facts. Cayman is loaded with uninformed speculation based upon innuendo and fake rumors not limited to the present topic. When a couple of people interpret what they want from any given situation, others of no real knowledge jump in and create mischief. This then creates a new twist and the saga goes on. What a mess our people can make of any situation real crabs in the barrel. Alas the mentality continues despite economic progress attitudes prevail.

I’m from the UK and some years ago our local police force issued a statement to the effect that none of their senior officers were involved in freemasonry. A few weeks later the local press published photographs of two senior officers leaving a masonic event in the company of convicted criminals who were involved in drugs and prostitution. Until they sort that out freemasons are, in my opinion, fair game. As the old saying goes, ‘Methinks thou dost protest too much.’

So the Lodge feels badly treated, and stigmatized? What do you expect from an organization that is completely secret, shut to women and does not tell anyone what it does? Its an abomination, that is what it is. Anyone with nothing to hide can be transparent, no need for secrecy…so the tales of favour and work are most likely true…why hide if they were not?

“We take good men and make them better” WOW! Well, if this is a precept of the local Masonic Lodge, they have seriously failed with a number of their members. I know at least a few persons who are Lodge members and who are of the lowest moral character – sleazy, corrupt, underhanded, dishonest, etc. “A peculiar system of morality” indeed!!

I don’t know the requirements for Masonic Lodge membership worldwide, but most members in Cayman join just to be protected and benefit from the favours afforded to members and the nepotism involved. What does that say about the moral character of such persons??!! Why does one need such “membership” benefits? Sleazy low-life’s!!

They always have they are the dark hand of power and have an unhealthy influence over government policies and decisions. Cabinet members Alden McLaughlin, Roy McTaggart, Moses Kirkonnell, Joey Hew are all members as are many members of statutory boards including political appointees.

Think about this, if a group of interested individuals wanted to keep the status quo of a business for financial gain what better way to control it than with a network of their own members. A prime example might be to appoint a high ranking member in a regulatory body who is sympathetic to the cause of keeping the status quo of a monopoly where a majority are members too. Speak up and speak now, what do you think is ethically wrong with this example and which monopoly and regulatory body fits the example?
