Hayleigh Sciamonte

(CNS): Police have repeated their appeal to help them locate a 13-year-old girl who has been missing for more than a week. Hayleigh Sciamonte left John Gray High School during morning lessons on Friday, 19 January, and she has still not returned to the care home where she is currently resident. Despite further attempts over the last week by officers to locate and return Hayleigh, the police say she has still not been seen. They are urging members of the public who know where she is or who see the teenager to call any local police station.

Anyone with information can also call Bodden Town Police Station at 947-2220. Anonymous tips can be to the RCIPS Confidential Tip Line at 949-7777, the Miami-based call centre of Crime Stoppers at 800-8477(TIPS), or online here.

Oh for Christ sake. They had her twice and let her go. Has anyone even bothered to find out why she keeps running. The child is in need of professional help not poor babysitting. We love you Hayleigh. Stay safe.

Make an example of the person/people who are housing her. They are complicit and should know better, because it is public knowledge she has been missing from her permanent place of abode.

She is being hidden and sheltered from her legal guardian. There doesn’t have to be ransom for this to be considered an abduction.

All of Cayman seems to know exactly where these girls are at all times yet no one can find her, or maybe you have no idea where she is and you (like most people on this island) just get your rocks off by talking pure shit with no evidence

She doesn’t live with her parents she never has done. Right now she is in a situation where they are holding her in that godforsaken home against her will, she is a 13 yr old girl she cannot be tried as an adult. Her only fault is that she couldn’t help that she was born to XXXXX parents.

We love her, is demonstrating to us how much she loves herself? Not even thinking of an education in this demanding world.

What’s the point? Nothing ever gets done about this. None of the people who are harbouring these girls are ever arrested or prosecuted. Surely any adult who is keeping this girl from where she legally should be, is guilty of kidnapping, whether the girl is consenting to be there or not. Given that she is a minor, legally in the care of someone else, she surely cannot give her consent to be there. Therefore, kidnapping. That’s a pretty serious crime. Yet no one is ever dealt with for this?
So, what’s the point? Why should we care any more? No one here does anything about anything. It’s like a petty crime free for all.
