Jeez, some people need to get a life. The whole point of the story was don’t go out on or into the water owing to the weather. Yet the same old debate fires up every single time…excruciatingly tedious

Does it matter … just stay out of the basin of water then. Ocean, Sea, Lake, river etc

You can call it a “sea or Ocean” they both can get very rough and kill you, if you don’t know take my word for it, and don’t go in it when the Sea or ocean is very rough.

very annoying when people say ‘ocean’ when referring to the ‘Caribbean Sea’ (or any other sea for that matter) there is a difference between ‘sea’ and ‘ocean’. Learn the difference for heaven’s sake! google it if you want to be sure of the difference!

Hmmm….it is an ocean though. We might call the surrounding waters of the Caribbean Islands, the “Caribbean sea”. But we all know, it’s one big mass of water surrounding all the land masses of the entire world, for our own learning purposes and understanding we have named it out in sections I.E Indian Ocean, Pacific, Atlantic….etc. Human beings like to separate, segregate and class things to feel important.

But, it’s still one huge body of water which is all connected, literally.

Umm, where is the border between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific? By your analogy the beaches of Southern California are on the Indian Ocean. That would drive Californians nuts if the LA TIMES started referring to it as that.

Good grief. A warning. As the storm passes.

It’s the god damn sea not the ocean. You just print that to annoy people now. I get it.
