Roseanna Redden

(CNS) UPDATED: Roseanna Redden (15), a resident of the Francis Bodden Girls Home, was located by police officers today, 18 September, and appears to be in good health, according to the RCIPS. Redden ran away for the third time last Tuesday, and each time she was missing for a week. Police reported Saturday that on 12 September the girl had been taken to the hospital, where she eluded her caregivers and left without permission, which was the same way she ran away at the end of last year.

Last time she was missing, the girl was located on 3 January, about a week after she had run off, at a location in Bodden Town. She was also missing for about a week in July 2016.

The police did not say where she was found this time.

Say what. I don’t know this child but why stamp this label on her by saying that “She ran away at the end of last year”? Cheezz. The girls are their for their own protection.
How many girls now has the Girls Home lost in the past year, about 6 to 10 runaways.
Isn’t that a reflection on the lack of supervision? Yes it is!
Some are simply called “Bodden Town residents” in the news when we all know they are form the Girls Home.
Shape up and monitor the girls properly or give the contract to a Security Company!

Yea, there’s definitely something wrong with the Girls Home and the caretakers – NOT. Maybe it has more to do with the fact that these girls have zero discipline and zero willingness to follow the rules of the home that they stay in. Surprise, surprise. But of course, put the blame on anyone else other than on the person where it truly belongs.

There needs to be a proper investigation to determine exactly what is happening at this home for girls. They run away, and are found a week later. That is all you hear from the police. This is happening too often. Is there not a cause?

What are the staff supposed to do? If they held her down you moaners would complain about that too. She is fifteen not five.

Yes there is a cause. Poor parenting absent fathers, abuse etc. Can’t see why the police get blamed.

Really again!? Whoever was responsible for her at the hospital, and knowing her history of being a runaway, should have been more assertive!

One would think that special attention should be paid to this girl since this is the third time and the same way she escaped. What will happen to the care giver? These kids should be put in the hands of capable loving and caring people. Can we ask some of these church people to take some of these people in their homes even with some financial assistance ? I remember a lovely little girl who was housed somewhere behind the Pines who told me that when we visit them we get a good impression but we don’t know what its like after we leave. Im sure if approached some of our church folks could assist with the majority of these kids even if its just the week ends.

I really like people with morals and reverence to their Maker …

      But Church folk???

You really have some shady Church folks around here. They dress up too, attend Church and talk like the Bible ?

Why are these girls constantly running away from the Girls home? Are they being mistreated or simply unhappy or plain rebellious?

Anonymous 9:10pm , maybe it could be all the above you mentioned and more . But from reading that the young lady escaped the same way second time .
That sound like the Girls Home and the people who are running it is the biggest problem .
That’s the reason why these girls are in the this home because they came from broken homes and parents , but the home is not doing anything for these young ladies.

It is a home for juvenile delinquents. They can run off if they want to because it is not a prison.

She’s been missing several days now. We hate to ask, but have they checked the places she was found to have been sheltered the last two times?
