Irma intensifies to cat 3 hurricane

| 31/08/2017 | 57 Comments

(CNS) UPDATED: Hurricane Irma, expected to reach the longitude of the Lesser Antilles next Wednesday, is already a category 3 hurricane, having become a tropical storm midday on Wednesday. The US National Hurricane Center predicts that it may intensify into an “extremely dangerous” category 4 hurricane next week when it could hit the eastern Caribbean islands.

“There is the potential for Irma to ramp up to a powerful hurricane in the coming days,” said AccuWeather Hurricane Expert Dan Kottlowski. “All interests in the eastern Caribbean will need to monitor the progress of this evolving and likely dangerous tropical cyclone.”

According to the NHC, after rapidly strengthening on Thursday, Irma appears to have leveled off in intensity. The NHC predicts little change in strength or some weakening during the next couple of days, afterwhich Irma is expected to intensify.

The centre of Irma is located just over 1,600 miles east of the Leeward Islands and is moving west-northwest at 10 to 15 mph.

https://aleteia.org/2017/08/30/the-tsunami-that-receded-when-it-was-blessed-with-the-blessed-sacrament/ God doesn’t want to punish people, but as a good Father you discipline your children for their own good. God makes good out of bad. If people have strayed so far from His word and to follow Christ yes there are consequences. For you will reap what you sow. Reap good and get good. The above is an example of Gods love for mankind despite the fact we undeserving of all these chances. Prayer is the most powerful thing you can do. God heeds prayers if it is sincerely said.

Seriously, just agree to disagree – no sense in this useless ongoing judgment of each others individual ways.

Pray for the best but be prepared for the worst is all you have to do – seems fair to everyone doesn’t it?

Wow! Look at where Irma is going now. We are saved. The prayers have worked. Thank you Lord for sparing us the Angel of Death. He sounded quite scary, and a bit homophobic too.

Having been persuaded by our religious friends of the power of prayer and the eagerness of their loving God to smite the sinful with hurricanes, I think that CIG should implement the following simple hurricane protection system:

    1. Put 100 good Christian souls on a boat to pray.
    2. Put 100 atheists, sodomites and general sinners on a second boat to party.
    3. Place the first boat directly between an approaching hurricane and the Cayman Islands.
    4. Put the second boat on the path that we want the hurricane to travel in. That may be in the direction of Jamaica if you are still bitter about the status grants.
    5. The hurricane will be diverted towards the sinners and away from the praying boat and there will be much joy across the land.

PS I will volunteer for the second boat.

Boat one should also be big enough to accommodate two of every living thing as well. Just in case the storm is a big one…

I hope it doesn’t hit any Islands to be honest. Since we talking about prayers, I tell all my Christian friends all them time who say ”Jesus will return” I say to them ”If Jesus came back now and was standing right in front of you and said I am Jesus the son of God would you believe him?” and guess what almost all my friends said no I wouldn’t believe him I would say he’s a fraud or a Demon! I even said the same thing to a local preach in Newlands and even he said ” No Jesus is not returning like that”

We live in a confused world!

Lets all pray that we become wise!

It is really serious and sad that we still have in Cayman so many people who think that the path of a hurricane can be affected by prayer to an imaginary old man in the sky. When a storm misses us and hits somewhere else is that because we were good and they were bad? Were the Brackers…these God worshipping people…sinning in 1932 when so many were killed by the hurricane? Or is it just the fact that there is no God and hurricanes and other disasters are just things we have to cope with.

Irma will most likely come here for one of the same reasons, you guys are bashing one another, constantly fighting against one another and putting each other down. This Island is rapidly turning away from it’s Christian values and supporting paganism all for the love of money. It’s the end of times now and it’s only getting from bad to worse, things or not going to get better until Christ returns and set things straight and you want to be among the wheat He will gather into His barn house, not among the tares that He gathers in a bundle and cast into the fire. So people need to stop worrying about the things of this world and focus on Jesus Christ we all need to REPENT and get right with Him. It may very well be the plan of God to shake this Island up and else where just like He did with Ivan, in order for His people to come together and look to Him. In the same way you will be preparing for Irma is the same way you should be preparing your souls for the second coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Dont lay back and joke about it. Get serious. Pray that the Lord has mercy, becasue we have been taking his grace and blessings for granted, and the doors of mercy may very well be closing. Worse is yet to come. Repent and get right with Jesus Christ. My prayers are with the people of this Island and of the rest of the World.

Lmfao, do you hear yourself? How can you think this “god” is doing this? If your “god” is so good and precious, why is he being so destructive? Especially to the beings he supposedly created. If your “god” was alive like you believe, why is there poverty, starving kids, plagues, etc? Gtfoh with that sh*t.

That wil not work if there are homosexuals cancelling out the power of prayer. One Babrbara Streisand CD box set can absorb the prayers of up to 1000 good Christians.

How can the power of prayer stop it from coming, when the one you’re praying to is the one who is sending it, to many of you it may seem as a curse but to a few of us it is a blessing,a blessing to show most of you atheist and sodomites that God is real and can be real terrible to those who refuse to believe but mercyful to those who follow him, when Ivan struck Cayman God was angry with us and shook us up just like how a father scolds his child and instead of us learning our lesson we decided to behave worse, so take heath Cayman because the laws of God is not the same as the laws of man, remember that those who can afford to run will run but for us who can’t we will have to stay and face the music (God’s Angel of death).?⚡??

So confused. If he’s after the atheists and sodomites why doesn’t he go with a more targeted attack? You know – really small meteorite strikes or maybe that old classic – the lightening bolt? (You don’t get a good old lightening bolt anymore these days.)

The hurricane opotion seems to inflict too much collateral damage on good god-fearing bible bashers. So sad. 🙁

The truth is not a sin but is definitely an offense, and it surely looks like my comment offended alot of you all, but that only shows me two things,1.I am talking the truth, 2.we are destined for certain doom,
When God sent the Angel of death to Egypt to take the lives of every first born, Pharaoh and the Egyptians weren’t the only ones punished, some of the Hebrews felt his wrath too and they were considered innocent, it is because we welcome all these types of devils into our country because of money, which they have a lot of and the love of that money is the root of all evil.
What happened in 1932 with the brac could only have been similar to what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah, yes it’s really sad to say but common sense would tell you that being on such a small island so very long ago one can only imagine the sick stuff that went on over there, anyways my people whether you be Christians or sodomites take God’s warning, the signs are clear, just make sure you are right with our Savior Jesus Christ for it is the blood of the innocent Lamb that will keep us safe from his Angel of death.

Yes I understand everything else but what happened in sodom and gomorrah was a sinful land that’s why it got wipped off the earth and loat and his family was giving the chance to leave before the desater under the condition to never look back and his wife disobeyed and turned to a salt stone. It’s all about sin so living good makes you body, mind and spirt be free of sin.
