Last week police were warning against hi-tech car thieves. (Though not saying what made them hi-tech, or what to do about the threat.) This week its a 1995 Honda Civic. Owner must have done a real good job keeping a 20 year old car up to hi-tech date.

Police – please be clear on how the thefts are happening so that we can really try and adjust our lives. We all feel bad for the car owners, and don’t want to be victims ourselves.

Time to deal with criminality is now. Why are we sitting back expecting the Police to do it all? Let them take the car and go for a very long drive.

Are Honda vehicles only allowed in Cayman?? It seems they have taken over the place. I’m amazed for such a small island that people steal cars at all. How do they think they can get away with it? They cannot drive these vehicles around the island without being identified. They are obviously of low mentality to even think it.
I imagine more often or not they are stolen specifically to commit crimes then dumped! I now reside in Wales in the UK and stolen cars are a rarity. Sadly, it’s an everyday occurrence in Cayman. Get those steering locks and wheel clamps on is the best advice.
